Kevin grew up in Raleigh and graduated from the US Air Force Academy. After jet school he instructed in the T-38 supersonic jet and later flew C-130s at Fort Bragg and with the Charlotte Air Guard. He served combat tours in the Balkans, Middle East, and Afghanistan. In 2003, he started SkySouth with one Baron. He expanded the business in 2008, launching SkySouth Aviation Services, a fixed base operator at the Burlington-Alamance Regional Airport. He has over 30 years and more than 7,000 hours in numerous aircraft including the King Air and Citation jet. He lives in Durham with his wife Frances; they have two sons, Jackson and Quince.
Business Manager and Charter Coordinator
Reuben is excited to join the SkySouth team! Although new to aviation, he worked as an office manager in New York City for several years. At SkySouth, Reuben oversees financial operations and reporting, charter operations, and information systems. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, and playing board games.
Chief Pilot, Baron Captain
David Carr has flown high performance aircraft for more than 15 years and has accumulated over 3000 hours of flight time. When David is not flying he enjoys outdoor adventure sports, hunting and traveling. Originally from WV and a Marshall University graduate, David has called NC home since 1995.
Nate started flying when he was just 16 and went on to college in Florida where he earned his bachelor's degree along with his commercial and instructor ratings. He flew for the Kansas City Royals Baseball team and later was a jet and turboprop instructor and examiner for FlightSafety International. Nate loves to spend time making music as a singer songwriter and getting outdoors to hike in the mountains.
A former airline pilot, Carl Chambers has flown jets, turboprops, and pistons for over 25 years. When Carl is not flying, he's managing his family farm and timber business.
